We were in attendance at Barre in Hollywood on July 14th when Paris introduced himself to the world with 5 live songs and a listening party of his debut release “Songs About A Girl, Vol. 1″. With quite a writing and producing track record behind him at the age of 20, (with ties to artists at Def Jam, Warner Chapel, Bad Boy, and Universal/Fontana), his collaborative efforts with his co-writer and co-producer have landed quite a solid debut album as an unsigned artist.
While the subject matter is approached honestly and earnestly, it generally doesn’t stray beyond what one would typically already hear on the radio. That probably isn’t a bad thing, considering the large teen fan-base he is sure to collect with his quirky boyish looks balanced by his bold vocal steps into man-hood. We here at Open Artist headquarters of course favor a bit more on the innovative and Progressive Pop edge. However, the album’s tone is more than likely a pitch perfect introduction to the world of “hip-pop”.
We definitely do love him because the team he has behind him are the same people that brought you the D.L. Chronicles. And we know anything they put their stamp on is something to watch for.
Download his entire album for free, HERE. It’s definitely worth a listen. Recommended tracks: Like I Do (feat. Brooke Marie), Speedin’, and Songs About A Girl.
Is he an Open Aritst? Well, we’ll leave that for you to decide. Take a listen to his release. Have a look at his site. Click below to vote and tell us if you want more.
