Glitzerhaus
There are many DJ duos around the world, but none are like the two eccentric parts of the combo Glitzerhaus. It all started when Lady Mata Hari, daughter of the well known artist family Koreana, was looking someone to help her complete her vision as entertainer and teach her the art of DJ-ing. Who better than her best friend Dr. Beat, who started DJ-ing at the tender age of 16 and was heavily taken by music genres such as new wave, Chicago house and soul music? During the teaching-session the chemistry between the two exploded into a yin-yang effect. The decision to enter the world of electronic music together was made very easily. Due to their always changing looks and exocentric music choices they got instantly noted by the Swiss gay community. It was not very long until they got their first resident gigs at some known Swiss LGBT-locations. Today they have many of their own party labels. Their newest baby is “the royal punk” concept, which combines house music, live performances by dancers, drag-queens and live vocals by many Swiss singers.
In May ‘09 they performed on the Europride main stage in Zurich and, together with swiss diva and gay icon Diamá and Swiss Drag Queen par excellence Stella Divine, they rocked the stage with the premiere of their first official production called “8 P.M. (8 Pick-up moves)”. There they shared the same stage with artists such as Guy B., Kelly King, Chris Willis and Billy Ray Martin.
The idea for the song came from Lady Mata Hari who with a friend always loved to do parodies of the typical gay-moves. When Dr. Beat heard her idea he decided create a track that caused audience participation. And the rest is history in the making.
The song was produced with brand new producer duo Pat & Jiam, composed by producer Patrick Marek and singer/songwriter Jiameé, who have already worked on a remix for Guy B, and are producing Diamá’s debut album among many other projects.
One thing is guaranteed, Glitzerhaus will never stop performing and producing fun music, because they do it for your entertainment.
